It has arrived, delivered a fantastic touchdown, and left us all at awe with the sheer creativity of Qatar’s entrepreneurial scene, Qatar Development Bank’s latest Hackathon last Thursday at Workinton has concluded and it was truly an exciting 2 days of brainstorming, pitching, presenting, and team work from Health Tech, Sustainable Mobility with 5G, and Digital Transformation. Alongside our partners who hosted Fintech, Fashiontech and Sportstech.
Qatar Development Bank has had a one of a kind Hackathon at Workinton Qatar’s biggest and first branch, Alfardan Centre. This year has been extra special in many ways, for the unique hybrid format has allowed coaches and competitors to come in and pitch their ideas from anywhere and to conveniently come together at Workinton Qatar’s one of a kind coworking space for the first time (virtually).
As the venue host, Workinton provided such a great experience for the event. With ergonomic furniture in the Coworking Space that was used by the participants for their networking, an Amphitheatre for their opening ceremony, and offices and training rooms for coaching each type of competition category. For almost 50 people attended, Workinton has managed to implement safety protocols and at the same time not limit the satisfaction needed to fulfill the event.
After many exhausting hours of coaching and pitching, the competitors that rose to the grand finale were Bubbari, Steps, eHaris, Feelix Technologies, AnalysTech Technologies, Blue Filter, BenePay Ltd., Game Right, Swap On, and A Smokeless Exhaust Tube. Many many congratulations to all the winners of QDB’s 25,000 QR prize and paramount business expansion thanks to the guidance of our many expert coaches and judges.
With such success, Workinton is looking forward to the next Hackathon and we might held it to the newest Workinton M7 – Qatar’s first Creative and Tech Hub.
